What in the World Does Tommy Want?

People are always asking me what “Tommywants” means, and who this “Tommy” character is.  So, in order that you all may sleep well tonight, what follows is my attempt to explain the inner sanctum of my mind (shouldn’t take long!).  Well, the truth be told, Tommywants means absolutely nothing.

That’s it…done.

Ok, I’ll dig a little deeper.  I got the inspiration for the name from a movie (fried carp dinner for anyone who can guess the film!  Not really, just keep reading).

Many years ago I wanted to start a wing joint.  But destiny led me down a different path – children’s apparel.  As you know, our logo and brand centers around our lovable iconic logo – the sofshell crab.  So, as we like to say, we used our chicken to catch crabs.  I’m sure you didn’t get that, so I’ll move on.  I did a little research and found that no one else had this name.  In the world of naming things on the Internet (if there is such a world), this is a good thing.  Uniqueness is the name of the game in this imaginary world.

And so it goes, Tommywants was born.  Plus, you can use the name neatly in sentences, like “Tommywants” you to buy all your kids, and/or nieces and nephews, and/or any kid you see every shirt and belt in every color!  Or, “Tommywants” you to STOP buying everyone else’s apparel, and ONLY buy his apparel.  Or, finally, “Tommywants” you to get your shell on!  Now you’re in the know.  So, I bid you all sweet dreams of buttery crab meat.

Capt. Tommy
