People are always asking me what “Tommywants” means, and who this “Tommy” character is.  So, in order that you all may sleep well tonight, what follows is my attempt to explain the inner sanctum of my mind (shouldn’t take long!).  Well, the truth be told, Tommywants means absolutely nothing. 

That’s it…done. 

Ok, I’ll dig a little deeper.  I got the inspiration for the name from a movie (fried carp dinner for anyone who can guess the film!  Not really, just keep reading).

TommyWants officially launched at Americas Mart Children’s World to…well, not much fanfare.  The show volume was miserably low.  Leave it to me to launch a new company in the worst economic environment since the Great Depression.  No mind though, because the response was fantastic!  We are very excited about the coming years and look forward to everything that we could never have imagined.  As Walt Disney once said, “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things – because we’re curious…and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

You’ll be able to “catch us” at the upcoming Surf Expo in Orlando, FL August 20 – 22 and at the ENK Children’s Club in NY Oct 2 – 4.  In the meantime, get out there and grab life by the pinchers!
